Studio Nixa Becomes an ATC Accredited Member

After nearly two decades in the translation industry, Studio Nixa Prijevodi d.o.o. has become an Accredited Member of the Association of Translation Companies (ATC), the leading professional association for language service providers headquartered in the United Kingdom.

With this accreditation, Studio Nixa has also become the only Croatian translation company to hold ATC Accredited Membership status.

For us, this membership represents a natural continuation of a path we have been following for many years.

Over the past several years, we have continuously invested in process standardisation, translation quality, information security, and technology development. As part of this journey, we have implemented and certified our operations according to internationally recognised standards, including ISO 17100 for translation services, ISO 9001 for quality management, and ISO/IEC 27001 for information security management.

Each of these standards covers a different aspect of our business, but they all share a common goal: ensuring consistent quality, transparent processes, and reliability for our clients.

What Is the ATC?

Founded in 1976, the Association of Translation Companies (ATC) is one of the most influential professional organisations in the translation and language services sector. It brings together language service providers from the United Kingdom and around the world and plays an active role in developing professional standards, supporting member companies, and promoting best practices throughout the industry.

ATC membership is not open to everyone. Companies seeking Accredited Member status must undergo a thorough assessment process demonstrating professional business practices, established quality management procedures, effective quality assurance systems, business stability, and compliance with the organisation's ethical and professional standards.

The Application Process

The application process lasted several months and included a detailed review of our operations, procedures, documentation, references, and working methods.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate that quality is not the result of individual effort alone, but rather the outcome of well-designed and consistently applied processes. The review examines organisational structure, project management procedures, quality assurance systems, professional responsibility, and compliance with industry best practices.

The process is demanding, but that is precisely why ATC accreditation carries weight in international markets. Its purpose is to protect the trust associated with ATC membership and ensure that member companies genuinely meet the standards they represent.

What Does This Mean for Our Clients?

What remains unchanged is our approach to our work. Our clients will continue working with the same people, using the same processes, and receiving the same level of service they have come to expect.

What has changed is that the systems and procedures we have been building for almost twenty years have now received additional international recognition.

As an Accredited Member, Studio Nixa is authorised to use the ATC Certification Stamp when certifying translations. This allows us to issue a certification confirming that a translation has been produced and certified by a company that has successfully completed the ATC accreditation process and operates in accordance with the ATC's professional standards and Code of Professional Conduct.

For international institutions, corporations, and organisations familiar with the ATC, this certification provides an additional level of trust and transparency.

A Natural Next Step

In recent years, Studio Nixa has undergone a significant transformation.

Alongside the development of our language services, we have invested heavily in information security, process automation, and the development of our own technology solutions. The creation of NIXA AI, the implementation of internationally recognised standards, and our participation in industry conferences are all part of the same long-term strategy.

ATC membership is a natural extension of the standards we already apply. While ISO 17100 confirms the quality of our translation processes, ISO 9001 validates our quality management system, and ISO/IEC 27001 demonstrates our commitment to information security, ATC membership provides an additional international professional recognition that confirms our compliance with the ethical, professional, and operational standards expected by one of the most respected organisations in the language services industry.

The fact that Studio Nixa is currently the only Croatian translation company holding ATC Accredited Membership status is not an objective in itself, but rather a confirmation that long-term investments in quality, security, expertise, and innovation are recognised beyond Croatia's borders.
